INTRAMAMMARY SUSPENSION TREATMENT OF MASTITIS

INGREDIENTS:

• Ampicillin sodium…………………………………………………. 250mg
• Cloxacillin sodium………………………………………………… 500mg
• Excipient qs………………………………………………………………. 8g

INDICATIONS: Treatment of clinical mastitis caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including: Streptococcal spp., like Streptococcus agalactiae and Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Staphylococcus spp., Arcanobacterium pyogenes and E. coli.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• Cow: 1 syringe in each mammary quarter.
• Sheep, goat: 1/2 syringe in each mammary quarter.

The treatment should be applied at the beginning of the breast rest period. After milking, before administration of the product, each breast must be cleaned with an antiseptic solution. The udder will be massaged after the administration of the product, in order to facilitate its diffusion.

WITHDRAWAL PERIODS:

• For meat: 28 days.
• For milk: 96 hours after calving.
